This was my first toy product. I was working in a music studio making sound effects for jingles with early synthesizers. I decided it would be fun to put sound in a game as a Christmas present for my brother. I thought the old game of Battleship would be great with sound, so from bits of this and that I made an electronic game. One of the studio owners saw it and suddenly I was in the toy biz. Everyone from Texas Instruments to the Washington Post was banging down my door. Battleship spawned a number of game spin offs including Star Wars. There have been many clones and variations over the years.
