Star Bird featured a 'tilt-switch' so when the ship was tilted, the engine pitch changed with attitude.

We designed a base so kids could work on the ship. Later we added infra-red so the ships could duel.

It was a huge hit and we did versions for different countries. The Japanese version was a completely different package and ship.

We also did a U.S.S. Enterprise version for the first Star Trek film.

Starbird was displayed in the National Air and Space museum for a brief period in the late 70's. It was quite an honor to see it displayed along with real space ships.
